What XcgfK is

XcgfK is a text rendering system designed to enable use of fine typography, page layout and languages across platforms.

XcgfK is based on the XCGF font technology that was introduced in GlyphGate, where is was used to manage highly compact fonts files for web pages on the Internet. XcgfK takes that suppport one step further, by improving on the compactness, quality, performace and functionality.

Typical use of XcgfK includes using many non-English langauges in applications on desktop computers as well as hand-held wireless devices (e.g. cell/mobile phones, PDA's and other types of mobile pocket devices). Applications may also use XcgfK to achive greater control and quality of rendered text than what would otherwise be possible with the native text support on the used platform.

XcgfK provides these services to applications and platforms through a programming interface (APIs). Applications are thus required to be built (compiled) for XcgfK in order to make use of it's services.

You'll find information on how this all works, where to download a trial version, how to try the on-line demo, and how to order a copy of XcgfK here. Use the navigation bar at the top of this page to access this information.
